Q. Do you see children?
A. We see patients from the age of 16 and up..

Q. What are your office hours?
A. We have office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday.

Q. How long will I have to wait before an appointment?
A. You will usually have an appointment within three days for routine matters and either same day or next day appointments for more urgent issues.

Q. What are the main benefits of the MDVIP program?
A. The MDVIP program is perfectly suited for those individuals who have no health insurance or those that have high deductible insurance. The $1500 annual fee includes a very thorough screening including advanced testing through the Cleveland Clinic Heart Lab, EKG and a comprehensive annual physical, culminating in a plan tailored to keep you healthy. 

Q. What preventative care services do you offer?
A. Dr. Kivett's practice screens for early evidence of cardiovascular disease using the Carotid Intima-Media Thickness test in cooperation with ArterioVision. This test is particularly useful for screening young people with a strong family history of heart disease but with no symptoms of the disease.

We also collect and submit specimens to screen for the genetic predisposition to many diseases through the Navigenics corporation (Navigenics.com). The same testing can tell us whether you will respond to commonly used medicatons.

Q. Do you offer on-site X-Ray's?
A. The Orlando Family Practice has an on-site X-ray to perform chest X-rays, extremities, back and skull. A Hologic DEXA scanner is available for osteoporosis testing.

Q. Can you perform on-site minor surgeries?
A. The Orlando Family Practice has a minor surgical suite for repair of lacerations, incision and drainage of wounds, care of ingrown toenails, biopsies and excisions of skin lesions.

Q. Do you offer Drug Testing?
A. Dr. Kivett is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) qualified to perform drug testing  and interpretation for pre-employment screening, random drug screening or post accident testing.

Q. Do you offer FAA Flight Physicals?
A. Dr. Kivett is a FAA medical examiner performing second and third class flight physicals.
